About the founder

Elizabeth W. Burden, Esq. is a passionate advocate who enjoys helping people and businesses navigate the complex world of immigration law in order to fulfill their dreams. With a longstanding commitment to individuals, educators, families, and businesses, her career spans private practice, international business, higher education, and corporate legal environments.

From her work with Refugee Legal Services in Dublin, Ireland, to serving as General Counsel and Vice President of Human Resources for a global environmental and manufacturing company, Elizabeth is uniquely qualified to provide you, your family, or your business with thoughtful, creative solutions for today’s challenging immigration landscape.

A graduate of the University of Oklahoma, Price College of Business, and the University of Tulsa College of Law, she has been a licensed attorney since 2010. She is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).

In her spare time, Elizabeth enjoys traveling and spending time with her family, dogs, and horses. She also volunteers for CASA, Scouting America, and serves on the Board of Directors for Pause4Paws and Youth Services of Tulsa.

Your expanded legal team

Recently teaming up with Judith A. Ashbaugh, Esq., an immigration lawyer and expert strategist in family-based and religious worker immigration for over 40 years, Judy and Elizabeth are able to offer clients two separate perspectives and distinct legal services with unparalleled care and skillsets unlike any other immigration law group in the region. Judy has devoted her life to her clients and continues to do so to this day.

Originally from Chicago, Judy met her late husband while working as a professor at the University of Tulsa, specializing in Speech Pathology and individuals with physical challenges. She is a proud graduate of the University of Oklahoma and the University of Tulsa College of Law. She is also a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). While she has never advertised, she maintains a lifelong successful practice based exclusively on word of mouth referrals and repeat family-based and religious worker clients.

In her spare time, Judy enjoys spending time with her family and watching the Chicago Cubs win with her rescue dogs and cat, June Bug, Tortilla (Tia), Nilla Wafer, and Norton by her side. Nilla is a frequent visitor at the office, so you may just get to see her when you come in for your appointment.

Whether you are an individual seeking support on your immigration journey or a business trying to ensure reliable workforce mobility, we’re ready to help. Let’s get to work!
